Strengthen safety education and improve fire-fighting skills
— The Medical Engineering Institute held a fire-fighting competition
In order to implement the national "Safety Production Month" activities in June and the EHS requirements of Fosun Group, combined with the construction of the "four capabilities" in fire safety, and based on the theme of "preventing risks, eliminating hidden dangers, and curbing accidents" for Safety Month, the company's EHS department organized a fire-fighting competition on June 25, 2019, which included an EHS knowledge quiz and a fire emergency competition.
At 3:00 PM on June 25, colleagues from the company's EHS department raised EHS-related questions in the corporate WeChat group, and employees answered them in a quiz format. The first person to answer correctly won, and the person with the most correct answers was declared the final winner. During the quiz, employees were proactive and eager to participate, deepening their understanding and mastery of EHS knowledge in a lively and cheerful atmosphere.
Half an hour later, all employees of the company gathered at the emergency assembly point according to the evacuation route and correct guidance to participate in the fire emergency competition. Before the competition, Deputy General Manager Xiao Jinmai delivered a speech, expressing expectations for the competition and explaining its significance while reminding everyone of safety precautions.
The fire emergency competition mainly involved practical exercises using fire blankets and fire extinguishers. Company personnel were divided into several groups to compete on correct fire extinguishing actions and the shortest extinguishing time. Before the activity, there was a special explanation of the actions, introduction of equipment, and live demonstrations, with leaders participating, all of whom were energetic and meticulous, successfully completing the event amidst cheers and excitement.
Through this drill, employees' emergency response capabilities in the face of fire incidents were cultivated, ensuring that they could remain calm in emergencies, accurately assess risks, and take effective measures for emergency rescue and reporting, minimizing risks and losses during the initial stages of a fire.
This fire-fighting competition was organized in an orderly manner, with clear division of labor and systematic execution, laying a solid foundation for the company's safety management and promoting fire safety, successfully achieving the expected results.
