Executive Director: Ms. Zhang Yan
Female, Han ethnicity, born in June 1974, native of Hunan Province. A member of the Communist Party of China, she graduated from the School of Pharmacy at West China Medical College, Sichuan University, with a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutics. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, an Executive MBA, and is a senior engineer. She began her career in July 1996, holding various positions including pharmacist at Daping Hospital of the Third Military Medical University, head of the Second Research Department at the Chongqing Institute of Medical Engineering, and subsequently serving as Technical Director, General Manager of the R&D Center, Assistant to the President, Director of the Business Development Department, General Manager of the Synthetic Technology Branch, Director of the Corporate Technology Center, and Vice President of Chongqing Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Currently, she serves as President of Chongqing Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Executive Director of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd.
Director and General Manager: Mr. Nie Wei
Male, Han ethnicity, born in October 1989, native of Hubei Province, member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at West China, Sichuan University, with a Ph.D. in Natural Product Chemistry, and holds the title of Senior Engineer. During his doctoral studies, he conducted research on the total synthesis of diterpenoid alkaloids, achieving the first-ever total synthesis of arcutinine; these findings were published in J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Nat. Commun. He joined the workforce in August 2020, serving as Deputy Manager of the Synthetic Department II at Chongqing Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Raw Materials Development Institute and Co-General Manager of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. He currently holds the position of Vice President at Chongqing Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., as well as Director and General Manager of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd.
Deputy General Manager: Ms. Fu Chencheng
Female, Han ethnicity, born in April 1990, native of Chongqing. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Pharmacy at West China, Sichuan University, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri–Columbia, where she studied under Professor Michael Harmata. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research on cycloaddition and cyclization reaction methodologies, designed and synthesized novel small‑molecule drugs for the treatment of pancreatic cancer, and published several papers as first author in journals such as Angewandte Chemie and the Journal of Organic Chemistry. She joined the workforce in August 2019, serving as a senior researcher in the Innovative Drug Division of Chongqing Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. As a core member of the R&D team, she successfully completed the clinical application for Yaoyou’s first innovative drug, YP01001, and filed a patent for an innovative pharmaceutical compound. She currently serves as Deputy General Manager at Chongqing Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd., overseeing human resources and administrative affairs.
