On December 3, 2020, the inaugural meeting of the New Chongqing Medical Engineering Institute was held in Conference Room 1008 of the Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Group's administrative building, attended by Mr. Liu Qiang, Chairman of Yaoyou Pharmaceutical Group, Ms. Zhang Yan, Co-President, and key cadres and management personnel of the New Chongqing Medical Engineering Institute.
At the meeting, the organizational structure and leadership appointments of the New Medical Engineering Institute were officially announced:
Ms. Zhang Yan, Co-President of Yaoyou, was appointed as Executive Director and General Manager, Mr. Lei Huangshu as Chief Scientist, Mr. Cao Yaming as Deputy General Manager in charge of R&D, and Ms. Fu Chencheng as Deputy General Manager in charge of Human Resources and Administration.
Subsequently, Chairman Liu and General Manager Zhang expressed their earnest hopes and specific requirements for the strategic planning and development direction of the New Medical Engineering Institute:
1. The personnel of the New Medical Engineering Institute should inherit and carry forward the professional spirit of excellence and diligent research pursued by the older generation of medical engineers, continuing the glorious history of the medical engineering institute in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. The innovation gene should be deeply embedded in the New Chongqing Medical Engineering Institute, where the first innovative drug of Yaoyou Group will be born, which is also part of the overall strategic planning of Fosun Pharma Group.
3. The newly appointed young cadres should learn the spirit of dedication and practical work from the leaders of the old medical engineering institute, set an example, lead the entire innovative drug team to advance rapidly and surpass peers, and achieve goals as soon as possible.
4. The New Medical Engineering Institute should strengthen close cooperation with domestic universities to attract more outstanding talents with a passion for medicine to join; in the future, the New Medical Engineering Institute will be a high-quality talent team focused on innovative drug R&D.
